A tropical twist to a classic sugar cookie! These Mango Sugar Cookies are soft and flavorful, and are sure to be gone as quick as they’re made! Made with Brothers All Natural Freeze-Dried Mango Fruit Crisps.
Ingredients
- 2 bags Brothers All Natural Freeze-Dried Mango (1 oz. bag size)
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 sticks unsalted butter (soft)
- 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Large egg (room temperature)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Optional
- 1 bag dried mango (soft and juicy)
Directions
Step 1 | |
Preheat oven to 350°F. Using a blender or food processor, pulverize freeze-dried mango into a fine powder. Set aside.
Step 2 | |
If using dried mango, cut into small cubes. Set aside.
Step 3 | |
In a large bowl, beat butter until very light and creamy. Add sugar and continue mixing until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and salt and beat until very well combined. Add mango powder and chopped mango pieces (if using).
Step 4 | |
In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Add flour mixture into batter mixture and mix until dough forms, do not overmix.
Step 5 | |
Drop dough into 2 tablespoon size mounds (for large cookies) on parchment or lightly buttered cookie sheets. Press dough mounds down a little to remove dome shape.
Step 6 | |
Place in oven for approximately 9-11 minutes or until edges are very light golden. |
